Welcome to 2020.  On behalf of the blog contributors, we would love to wish you a very happy New Year.  May you achieve all you set out to do.  We also hope that you will be with us along the way.

I am excited to see what this year is going to bring.  I think Share Six is going to try and stretch us a little bit more.  So to start off January with a bang, this month Share Six has chosen to do {Macro}.

Macro Photography is all about getting close up to the lens, photographing things that would typically not be visible, like small bugs, textures in the grass, waterdrops, even ice or snow etc.  Here is a great article on macro photography for beginners.  I hope you are excited.  I am!  Macro is one of my favorite subjects.

There are a number of different methods, your traditional macro lens, a reverse ring method, extension tubes, and even lensbaby has marcro lens.  We would love to hear more about what you use and see your images.

If you have not experimented with {Macro} photography, I would encourage you to try.  It certainly if fun and I love seeing what I am able to get out of the image.  Best thing, macro photography can be done in the house, or out in the elements.  Each image is unique.

Share with us what you have photographed this past month for your {Macro} theme on our Facebook page and our Instagram Page.  Don’t forget to tag the Instagram posts with #sharesix_macro.  Each month we feature one artist on our Facebook and Webpage banner.  We will also do an interview with the featured artist, so share your images to be a part of this opportunity.

Look out for the new theme on February 6, 2020
