Sharleen Stuart Photography chose the theme {Negative Space}. Truthfully it feels like we have been living in a negative space for the past year and a few months. Covid has really changed the way we have seen things, our ability to get out and do things and has just been restricting all the way around. Lets full up our posts with positive {Negative Space}.

Wikipedia says the following: “Negative space, in art, is the space around and between the subject of an image. Negative space may be most evident when the space around a subject, not the subject itself, forms an interesting or artistically relevant shape, and such space occasionally is used to artistic effect as the “real” subject of an image.

This month is going to be unusually quiet for the blog contributors. One of us is traveling, one is finishing up the school year, one is getting over health issues and the other is having camera issues. It has been a challenging year for all of us as photographers, especially those restricted to being at home. Picking up a camera lately has been difficult and the inspiration is lacking.

However, we do have some blog contributors who have been able to get out and take images for the theme so take some time to see what has been shared. Then come back and blast the our Facebook and Instagram pages with beautiful {Negative Space} images.

We look forward to seeing your images on our Facebook page and our Instagram Page.  Don’t forget to tag the Instagram posts with #sharesix_negativespace.  Each month we feature one artist on our Facebook and Webpage banner.  We will also do an interview with the featured artist, so share your images to be a part of this opportunity.

Look out for the new theme on July 6, 2021
