Guest Highlight: July 2018: Curves

Well we are officially past the half way of the year.  Hard to believe we have got to this point so quickly.  For the month of July Elizabeth of It’s Still Life Photography by Elizabeth Wilson chose the theme {Curves}.  We had a few images shared on Facebook, all of which we loved, but once again, the bulk of the images were shared on Instagram.

Elizabeth selected this beautiful image shared by @andoraphotography for the following reasons:

Curves in the natural world are what drew me to choose this theme, and this image exemplifies them in multiple ways. The composition of this image is brilliant from the curve of the shoreline leading the eye to the child and the curve of the brush framing the child’s face and mimicking the posture. The viewer is then led to the curve of the hair on the child’s profile caught in the wondering, the reflection, of what may be swirling in the child’s mind and then what may be swirling in ours. Simply lovely and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous Curves image this month!

So we have made it through to the halfway mark of the year.  I am thankful for the willingness of the blog group to keep us moving along, and for all their interpretations of the various themes.  They challenge us to step outside of the box and I am so grateful for that.  We are also thankful to you for joining us here, on Facebook and on Instagram and sharing your theme on the different topics.  We love seeing your work.  Keep it up 🙂

This month Liz of It’s Still Life Photography by Elizabeth Wilson chose the theme and she chose {Curves}.  That was definitely challenging for most of us.

The dictionary defines curve as: “a line or outline that gradually deviates from being straight for some or all of its length.”

Below is our interpretations of the the theme {Curve}, and I will confess it took me a while to come up with my ideas.
