There seems to be so much going on right now with all of our contributors. Bear with us as we navigate our lives and blogging.

This month Katherine of Cobert Photography chose the theme {Joy}. Katherine and her family have been going through a really tough time and I fully get why she would chose the theme {Joy}.

The definition of {Joy} is “A great feeling of great pleasure and happiness”

We are quieter than normal but I look forward to seeing how each person interprets the theme {Joy}.

Liz of It’s Still Life Photography by Elizabeth Willson chose the theme for November and she has selected this image by @kateainger as the featured artist image. She chose the image for the following reasons:

“This image immediately stuck me with its stunning composition and textured layers of light. The artist shared the images she combined to create it which further enhances the story. It gives a sense of light-filled connection and the opportunity for hopeful change moving forward.”

Congratulations @kateainger for being selected as the featured artist.

This month Janet Douglas of @wiredtothemoon_ has chosen the theme {Light Inspired}. What sort of light inspires you? Each one of us have certain things that capture our attention and it is exciting each month to see what everyone comes up with.

I googled the words “light inspired” to see what might come up and if you guessed lights you would be right. So I googled light to see what I could find. Here is one option:

“the natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible.”

Here is another:

provide with light or lighting; illuminate.

Each month we look forward to seeing what each of the contributors share. We learn from each other. But we also learn from you, so don’t forget to share with us your {Light Inspired} images.

I think many of us spent this past year looking for {Silver Linings}. Michèle chose this incredible image by @amy 121810 to be the featured artist for the following reasons:

Pandemic lead us back to basics things that bring comfort. Animals are one of these. They have such powerful and positive effects in our lives. Chickens are so generous to us, and taking care of them is a very rewarding experience. My heart goes to these merry fellows! This picture is wonderful!

Congratulations @amy121810

Karolina of @intothegreen8 was our featured artist for the {Story Telling} theme. Story Telling is such an art, and I wanted to learn more about Karolina and her photography journey.

I hope you enjoy her story as much as I have.

Tell us a bit about yourself? And, are you a hobbyist or a pro?

I was interested in photography since I remember. It was my dad’s big hobby and he’s naturally passed it to me, creating the memories of developing films together or wandering outdoors with me and my brother and talking about photography. I am trying to make it more than a hobby which isn’t easy with the current situation in the world.

Tell us a bit about your photography gear. What is the lens you do not have but you desire to have the most?

I use Canon 6d with prime Sigma lenses, 85 mm, 35 mm and I have recently purchased 105 mm. It was my big dream for a while so I am really satisfied with my gear for now.

Describe your style of work and how you found your style.

I think it’s an ongoing process, I am developing my style constantly. I am mostly shooting outdoors, always chasing the light and trying to capture emotions and connection either between subjects, subject and enviroment or my connection with people I photograph. I love candid unposed shots and during family sessions I tend to talk a lot and make people laugh.

Are you a creative person, ….. have you always been creative, ….what inspires your creativity?

I was always trying to express myself through art. Since I was little I was always sketching and drawing or simply making things. I can’t imagine my life without creating, it seems pretty natural to me. I am being inspired by nature, my kids, dreams and other artists.

Who is your favorite photographer, living or dead?

There are so many photographers whose work I admire that it would be unfair if I mention just one.

What is your favorite quote?

I don’t really have one favorite.

Thank you Karolina for sharing a little bit about who you are and your style of photography, we loved learning more about you. Don’t forget to check out her Instagram page @intothegreen8

We look forward to seeing your images on our Facebook page and our Instagram Page.  The theme this month is {Growth} for so tag us with #sharesix_growth.

December was an awesome month of glittering lights and perfect for the theme {Light}.  We had so many entries that we are going to close out 2019 Guest Highlights with a bumper crop of images and thank you all for sharing your stunning images with us over the year.

Our featured artist for the month of December 2019 for the {Light} theme was chosen by KG Ledbetter Photography.  Kathy chose @rachael_bashaw for the following reasons:

I love the wonder in this image. It reminds me of the magic of the holidays when I was little. The light is so soft and beautiful.
