The Photographers

Sharleen Stuart of Sharleen Stuart Photography

Sharleen is South African born, but living in South Florida, USA. She fell in love with film photography and dark room printing in high school but over the years and the growth of a family, photography was put aside. Sharleen is married to Richard and has 2 adult children, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law and two felines.

In 2008, Sharleen bought her first DSLR Camera – a Canon Rebel T31. From there she focused on buying lens for the full frame camera that she would one day own. She started out with the 50mm 1.8, and a 100mm F/2.8L Macro lens. In November 2015, a few new additions joined her Camera bag, a Canon 6D, a 70-300mm lens, a 24-135mm lens.

Lensbaby  has become a new favorite of Sharleen’s and she now has a composer, a composer pro, the Sweet 35, the Lensbaby Twist optic, the Soft Focus optic, the Double Focus, as well as the wide angle and telephoto accessory kit, and the macro accessory kit.

With photography came the opportunity to get out into nature, and to explore cities, and do some travel photography Sharleen has traveled through Europe, the United Kingdom and various places in Southern Africa.  Right now she is enjoying exploring the USA.

Elizabeth Wilson of It’s Still Life Photography

Liz (although online as “Elizabeth”) is a faith-filled wife and momma of 4 enjoying small-town life in South-Central PA. She spends her days Mom-ing, practicing Occupational Therapy in Early Intervention, and, of course, taking photos. She is a happy and grateful “professional hobbyist” capturing the light and life that surrounds her.  It’s the beauty of the every day moments, the blessings of God’s amazing creation, the light and life He brings, the beauty and wonder and joy that are her inspiration.

You will primarily find her with a Canon 5D Mark III with the 24-70 2.8L attached. However she also enjoys her Lensbaby Velvet 56 and Composer Pro with Sweet 35 to add mystery, softness, and an extra bit of wonder to her photographs.

After 4 consecutive years of completing a Project 52, she’s currently in the midst of her second Project 365, which continually fuels and challenges her skills and her vision. These projects, along with the community she’s experienced, have truly shaped her art.

Ceri Herd of Ceri Herd Photography

Ceri is a British photographer, hobbyiest musician, an all-around crafty-artsy Pinterest Mum, currently living in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Moving to the USA in 2014 and finding amazing Arizona light, Ceri began exploring her photographic and creative boundaries.

She was given my first camera when she was 8 and used the entire first roll of film taking pictures of ducks, which turned out to be nothing more than small indistinguishable blobs in the middle of the river. You could say that she haven’t changed much: Ceri loves nothing more than to take herself off on her own, somewhere quiet, to get lost in her own photographic creative world… and she probably still take too many pictures (thank goodness for the digital age) but has moved on a bit from the indistinguishable blobs!

Ceri loves freelensing, in-camera double exposures, and experimenting, but above all she loves to capture genuine emotion and beauty in the everyday.

Janet Douglas

Janet Douglas of Wired to the Moon

Janet, joins us from the West Coast of Scotland.  Originally from Oban she now lives just outside of Glasgow.

Janet is a hobbyist photographer using a Sony A6000 and manual lenses.  She has a variety of Lensbaby lens, her all time favorite being the Sweet 35.  However she loves the Velvet 56 and Twist 60 as well.  Her list could go on as she has built up quite a  collection of lenses.  She also loves her vintage lenses.  She has the Helios 44-2 f2 58mm, Meyer Optik Gorlitz Domiplan f2 50mm, Pentacon f2.8 29mm and she recently got an adapter so that she could use her Miranda f3.5-4.8 28-7-mm lens from her Olympus OM-10 film camera.

Janet embraces blur and bokeh and likes to be creative, especially ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) and Double Exposures, in-camera and in Photoshop.  She also loves macro.  You can usually find Janet wandering up in the woods with her camera in tow, crawling about on her hands and knees, taking photos of moss with her macro extension tubes.

This is the 3rd Project 52 that Janet has been a part of and after 2 years of using Lensbaby, this year she decided to take macro images with her vintage lenses.
